A Guy in the Lab is a dynamic summer and after school science program designed specifically for youth with sensory disabilities, including students who are deaf and hard of hearing.

Our program creates an inclusive, hands on learning environment where students explore STEM through interactive experiments, engineering challenges, and real world problem solving. We believe that disability does not limit innovation. It fuels it.

Participants engage in hands on laboratory experiments, assistive technology exploration, medical device design concepts, STEM career exposure, collaborative team projects, and mentorship from scientists, engineers, and innovators.

We intentionally design our programming with accessibility at the forefront by incorporating visual learning strategies, adaptive tools, and communication supports to ensure every student can fully participate and thrive.

At A Guy in the Lab, students do not just learn science. They become scientists.

Our mission is to build confidence, curiosity, and capability while preparing youth with sensory disabilities to lead in STEM fields and beyond.
